Miami Shores Community Church is affiliated with the United Church of Christ, a major Protestant denomination of 6,000 churches and nearly 1.6 million members. 

Our theological roots trace back to the Protestant Reformation.  Historically, we are the church of the Pilgrims, Mayflower and the first Thanksgiving.

Our members come from a wide variety of religious backgrounds and traditions, both Protestants and Roman Catholic.  As in the past, we seek to be faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ in our lives, worship, study, mission and fellowship.  The diversity of thought among our members and an atmosphere of openness and acceptance provide for an exchange of ideas and experiences that help us each to deepen our faith, grow spiritually, share our gifts and talents with the wider community and strengthen fellowship .
